Qred, an SME lender and the Swedish parent company of Qeld, has become a Principal Member of Visa, joining a short list of fintechs that are allowed to issue their own credit cards. With Visa Principal membership, Qred is able to stimulate even more entrepreneurs with funding than before, by issuing the first credit card on the European market specifically designed for small business owners.

Stockholm, 10 August 2021 - Qred, the Nordic parent company of Qeld and market leader in SME finance, has secured its Visa Principal membership. The new PIS licence allows Qred to strengthen and expand its current product offering, as it gives Qred the option to issue corporate credit cards throughout the European Union.

"Since we started Qred in 2015, we have already stimulated more than 25,000 entrepreneurs with flexible financing. Our goal is to continuously develop and strengthen ourselves and our company so that we can help even more entrepreneurs. Visa's main membership will expand Qred's product portfolio to meet the daily needs of our customers," says Emil Sunvisson, CEO at Qred.

As previously announced, the Qred Credit Card will be launched in Sweden and Finland later this year. With plans to make the credit card available to entrepreneurs soon on all active Qred markets, including Qeld in the Netherlands. The user-friendliness of the card is enhanced by the Qred app, which enables entrepreneurs to track and control spending. The app covers everything from receipt management and spending limits to virtual card management and PIN code control.

An update on the future launch of the Qred Credit Card (Qeld credit card) on the Dutch market will follow in 2023. That means Qeld can help you even better with your financial needs in the future!
