Qeld's scholarship is for students writing a dissertation
on entrepreneurship and small businesses to promote innovation and knowledge in this sector.
Four out of five jobs are created by small business owners. Thus, they are the backbone and foundation of a well-functioning economy. Since its inception in 2018, we at Qeld have helped tens of thousands of entrepreneurs create growth in their businesses with the right type of funding.
We believe entrepreneurship and small businesses deserve more attention and research.
That's why we are now establishing Qeld's Scholarship. It will be awarded to a dissertation that deals with-and researches-entrepreneurship and/or small businesses.
Qeld's Scholarship is awarded to an article or dissertation written to highlight and address issues related to entrepreneurship and running small businesses. The scholarship aims to promote knowledge and innovation for the entrepreneurial sectors in which Qeld operates.
The scholarship will be awarded to the person behind a research question that stands out from the crowd, seeks to bring forward topics not yet explored, and has taken an interesting approach.

Rationale:
At a time when innovation is being researched in affluent countries, Albert focuses on the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in developing countries. His research looks at the impact of agglomeration economies on innovation among SMEs in 23 developing countries. He identifies obstacles and offers insights to help entrepreneurs navigate this complex environment. His goal is to strengthen the innovation power of developing economies. Qeld chose this research because it contributes to our efforts to boost the power of innovation in developing countries.
Justification:
"This year's scholarship from Qred ("Qeld") will be awarded to an essay on a topic we take very seriously at Qred, namely burnout. It is common for entrepreneurs to have a high workload and the risk of burnout is particularly high among this group of people. The paper in question maps out the most effective coping mechanisms for burnout and how they can be avoided without affecting the progress of new innovation. The article presents qualitative interviews with both successful entrepreneurs and individuals with burnout syndrome. We see this as an instructive article that is important for the well-being of entrepreneurs in the industry. We are therefore proud to award this year's grant to Jesper Larsson and Camilla Hietanen." - The jury of Qred
